I thought it was ten children; on Desert Island discs a few back he was asked why all his sons were called George. He replied "I used to be a boxer; you've got to make allowances for your mind going as you get older".

Wool can be spun worsted or woollen resulting in cloths with completely different structures due to the twist on the individual hairs. In South America, yarn that is spun worsted is believed to be magical.

You remember things because of a tendency of a certain set of neurons in your hippocampus (a crescent of neurons around the inner core of your brain) to become more efficient at firing after being subjected to a burst of activity. The system is called "Long Term Potentiation", and was given the slogan "neurons that fire together, wire together" in the late 1940's by the neuroscientist who devised the basic system: Donald Hebb.

If you knew this, I'll try again... ;)

The new Beetham Hilton Tower in Manchester a few facts from one who's helping construct it

* Standing at 171m tall, it will not only be the tallest building in Manchester, and have the UK's highest living space, but it will be the UK's tallest building outside London.

* The building will include a five star, 285 bedroom Hilton Hotel from levels 5-23, a 'destination sky bar' on the 24th floor and apartments up to floor 50.

* At floor 24 the building dramatically juts out 4m from the floors below. (parts of the floor for this are glass allowing you to look down to the ground)

* The Beetham Organisation claim the top floors will offer views stretching as far as the Welsh Mountains, Liverpool and the Blackpool Tower.

the colour of snot is determined by the type of bacteria growing in your mucous membranes (most is white/yellow/green)....but cyanobacteria (which it also possible to have colonising a body) is blue ;)
